Known as both the ‘Hollywood Ripper’ and the ‘Chiller Killer’, Michael Gargiulo is a native of Glenview, Illinois, where he stabbed his neighbour, 18-year-old Tricia Pacaccio, to death on her back door step. On 21 February 2001, Gargiulo stabbed 22-year-old Ashley Ellerin 47 times in her home in Hollywood. Nearly five years later—in December 2005—Gargiulo stabbed his neighbour, 32-year-old Maria Bruno to death at her home in El Monte, California.
